Building a House by EPS Moulds
Building a house in the countryside is not a easy thing. Before you start construction, you have to prepare bricks, sand, and formwork.
However, a villager in Anhui Province, who built a villa, did not need bricks and tiles, not even a template, but a "bubble".Because of the strange materials , when his villa is started, there are endless streams of people who come to see them.It turns out that this "bubble" is a new building material EPS module, and the building process is like a child building blocks. When building a house, the construction workers build the foundation with concrete according to the design drawings. Then the concrete is poured into the gap in the middle of the formwork and the wall is built up. After the foundation was fully solidified, the workers, like building blocks, inserted a piece of white EPS template together and joined them into a tight wall. After the reinforced concrete is fully solidified, these EPS modules are tightly integrated with the reinforced concrete to become the insulation layer of the wall.
So what is an EPS module?According to the manufacturer's explanation, the EPS module is an EPS wall material module made by heating and foaming expandable polystyrene beads and then heating through a special mold. The material can be plugged into various walls to form various walls. The white point is the foam board of the common packaging appliance, but the shape is different.According to the needs of the project, the EPS module can be made into various modules.
And there are a lot of advantages of the EPS
module. At first, the house is warm in winter and cool in summer. There are two
layers of insulation structure inside and outside the EPS module.
Compared with the traditional building materials, the indoor insulation
can be increased by 3 ° C to 5 ° C to achieve the effect of warm winter
and cool summer. Secondly, it has stronger seismic performance. The EPS module is used
in combination with reinforced concrete and can replace traditional
materials. The house built is more earthquake-resistant than the
ordinary brick-and-wood structure. Next, the service life is up to 100
years. The service life of red bricks is generally around 40 years, and
the service life of concrete is 70 years. Under the protection of EPS
modules, the service life of concrete is further extended, even up to
100 years. At last, the overall cost is lower. The EPS module is convenient,
just like inserting bricks, placing steel bars, pouring concrete mortar,
and molding at a time. The cost of traditional formwork, template
removal, and template rental is saved, which saves material costs by
about 30%, construction time is also greatly shortened, and labor costs
of more than 70% can be saved. Does the EPS module burn when it
encounters a fire? The raw material of the EPS module is polystyrene
particles, which are inherently flammable. However, in order to achieve
the purpose of fire prevention, a flame retardant is added during the
production process to achieve the purpose of flame retardancy. The EPS
module now has a fire rating of Class B1. Class B1 is the name of a fire
rating, meaning that the material is flame retardant, burns but is not
easily burnt, and it automatically extinguishes when the source of
ignition leaves. In addition, the outer layer of the module will be
protected by 15mm thick fireproof and anti-cracking mortar to isolate
oxygen and control heat transfer. The carbonized layer formed during
combustion can isolate the flame from contact with the material and thus
act as a flame retardant.
