Malfunctions 1: The Board After the Calibrator Has Honeycomb, Longitudinal Crack, Fish Skin Stripes


NO.Reasons:Solution:
1

The temperature of the material 

is too high.

Increase the cooling water, reduce the frequency of the secondary extruder, increase the quantity of the injection foaming agent.
2

The temperature of the die lip 

is too high.

Lower the temperature of the die lip.
3

The gap between the die lips is 

too large.

Release the wire, tighten the top wire.
4

Something wrong with the oil 

temperature controller.

Check the cooling oil is enough or not, the cooling water is open or not.
5The oil pipe is connected wrongly.Check the inlet oil pipe and the outlet oil pipe.
6

Die lip semi-circular arc is not 

smooth.

Clean it.


Malfunctions 2:Board longitudinal groove.


NO.Reasons:Solutions:
1

The outlet material of the die 

lip is not uniform, the groove 

outlet material is not enough.

Larger the groove outlet gap.
2The die lip is too high.Lower the temperature of the slot die, material, increase the foaming agent injection.
3The calibrator pad is too high.Adjust it.


Malfunctions 3:Board horizontal wave.


NO.Reasons:Solutions:
1

Comparing with the die lip 

thickness, the gap is too small, 

the outlet material is not enough.

Increase the die lip.
2

The calibrator pad height and 

the outlet is mismatch.

Adjust the calibrator pad height gap.
3Foaming agent is too much.Reduce the foaming agent.
4Cooling water is too much.Increase the frequency of the secondary extruder or shut down the cooling water.
5The pressure is not enough.Adjust the frequency and foaming agent.
6

Comparing with the thickness, 

raw material foaming rate is 

too low, talc is too much.

Change the raw material and get rid of the talc.
7

The temperature of the die lip 

is too low.

Increase the die lip temperature.


Malfunctions 4: Board surface has bubble.


NO.Reasons:Solutions:
1

The die lip is too large comparing

with the material temperature.

Reduce the die lip gap.
2

The temperature of the material

is high.

Lower it.
3The raw material is not good.Change to the high melting point material.


Malfunctions 5:Longitudinal crack


NO.Reasons:Solutions:
1

The die lip temperature is too

high.

Lower the temperature.
2

The calibrator pad temperature 

is cold.

Heating the calibrator temperature to 78~80℃.
3Too much foaming agent.Lower the foaming agent quantity.
4The die lip is not smooth.Fix it.
5Tetrafluoroethane is not smooth.Change it.


Malfunctions 6:The surface of the board pores, the surface shot blasting


NO.Reasons:Solutions:
1There are water in the raw material.Change the material.
2Too much foaming agent injection.Reduce the foaming agent injection.

Material is not continuous, 

stuck, slip

Change the material.
4

The melt material temperature 

is too high.

Lower the frequency of the secondary extruder, or open the cooling water.
5The flow rate is too low.change the material.
6Mixing is not enough.Add mixing section, or heat exchanger.


Malfunctions 7: Board surface thickness is not uniform.


NO.Reasons:Solutions:
1

The gap between the top die 

lip and bottom die lip is not 

uniform.

Check if the motor lead screw is loose or replace the belt.
2Melt temperature problem.The lower the melt material temperature is, the situation is more serious.
3

Two side temperature are 

different, the difference is too 

much.

Adjust it.
